Premieres New J-Dilla Produced Single
“The Season”
Nas has announced the release of his latest single, “The Season.” The track layers Nas’ bars over J. Dilla’s beat from the track “Gobstopper,” from the critically-acclaimed album Donuts. Nas has been working on his next album with producers such as Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and No I.D. A release date has yet to be announced.

The debut of his latest single follows on the heels of the 20th anniversary of his seminal album Illmatic. Nas released a special anniversary edition of the album Illmatic XX in the spring of 2014. In addition, Tribeca Film acquired the  North American rights to the Time Is Illmatic documentary, which opened theatrically in New York on October 1st, and is now also available on demand and iTunes.
