Los Angeles, CA, June, 12, 2013 - Today Myspace, a platform for the creative community is being launched by...the creative community. The platform was informed and designed to serve a growing group of innovators by giving them the tools to create and broadcast their work through the social web. To celebrate the public launch, Myspace invited a group of those artists to hang out for a few days with renowned photographer Ryan McGinley. The result is an electric clip that serves as Myspace's introductory calling card.

The spots features various emerging and established artists getting together to bring back Myspace, including Pharrell Williams, Kenna, Mac Miller, Erin Wasson, Ciara, Sky Ferreira, Trash Talk, CHARLI XCX, Daniel Romano, RiFF RAFF, Terry Kennedy, Chance the Rapper, ScHoolboy Q, Zedd, Ryan Hemsworth, Iggy Azalea, DIIV, The Dough Rollers, Hit-Boy, and Scott Vener. It was detonated via social media earlier this morning by that same group plus Justin Timberlake, who is also co-owner of the new site.

Myspace's story has always been centered on its people. So it was only right to credit them at the end of the spot - something no other commercial has ever done. There are no tag lines and no slogans. Myspace is loathe to throw more rubbish on that heap. Instead, Myspace is utilizing an oft-heard shout out, "Check us out on Myspace," which, even as few as three years ago, were the words that ended the majority of touring bands' sets after the final song was played.


Starting today, the new Myspace is officially available at www.myspace.com<http://www.myspace.com/>. Profiles from Classic Myspace have been upgraded to the new platform, so that members can log in using Classic Myspace, Facebook, or Twitter account credentials and access their content and connections easily.


This is Myspace. Welcome to the neighborhood.
