Myspace is pleased to present the latest installment of CRWN, a live interview series which pairs the biggest names in urban music with one of the most respected names in hip-hop media - longtime music journalist, blogger and entrepreneur Elliott Wilson (Founder, Rap Radar) - for an intimate conversation. The latest installment features an in-depth interview with award-winning producer and recording artist R. Kelly, whose acclaimed and titillating new album, Black Panties, was released December 10, 2013. The music icon got candid with Wilson in front of a sold-out audience at New York's The Cutting Room.



"It was time to pretty much get back to the sexual R. Kelly... get my ass back in the studio and do a baby making album," he said. "Long as I keep it real and give the ladies what they thinking."



Kelly also sung the praises of Lady Gaga and Chris Brown, reminisced over his salad days writing songs in McDonald's and living on Venice Beach, and got to the heart of what makes a Kellz song a smash. "I love metaphors and subliminal messages in songs, mixed with comedy and great melody and music," Kelly explained. "I believe that that's what made me who I am and that's what's keeping me who I am."



Produced by WatchLOUD.com and Shady Films, the series debuted this past April with Tyler, the Creator followed by J. Cole, Wale, Macklemore and just recently, Drake. Released in two parts, Episode 1 of the CRWN interview with R. Kelly debuts today on Myspace, with Episode 2 to follow on Tuesday, December 17th.
