With his recent vinyl release, Combo De Momento, becoming available on
CD September 14, 2010 from Detroit's Orchide Records, renowned producer
and Eminem keyboardist Luis Resto will bring his superb performing band
to Le Poisson Rouge on Thursday, September 16 for their first collective
appearance outside the Detroit area.=20

As Eminem's longtime collaborator and live keyboard player, Resto
composed music for the film 8 Mile and is the co-writer of "Lose
Yourself", for which he won both a Grammy and an Oscar.  He is regarded
as one of the most creative and accomplished musicians and songwriters
currently working in Detroit, with a resume that ranges from Patti Smith
and Iggy Pop to chart-topping hip hop artists such as Jay Z, B.o.B., 50
Cent.

Resto has assembled a high-powered performing line-up for the two-hour
show: guitarist and percussionist Mario Resto; Was (Not Was) saxophonist
David McMurray; backing vocalist Herschel Boone (Mary J. Blige, Kid
Rock); bassist Paul Nowinski (Keith Richards, Rickie Lee Jones, Les
Paul) and renowned session drummer/producer Keith LeBlanc, who first
came to notoriety from his work as part of the Sugar Hill studio band
and who's worked with everyone from Depeche Mode to Tina Turner.=20

Combo De Momento showcases Resto's eclectic compositional style, a
uniquely potent hybrid of rock, jazz, electronica and soul.  Resto will
be playing original material from both Combo De Momento and his upcoming
One Small Light release, due out early 2011.  The live show will also
include selections from his seminal funk/fusion band, Was (Not Was) and
material he's written with Eminem. =20

As a seminal member of the groundbreaking Was (Not Was), Resto was
highly influential in the development of that Detroit band's avant-funk
ethos.  As Was (Not Was) began it's extended hiatus, Resto found himself
in-demand as a session musician, lending his talents to a wildly diverse
collection of celebrated recording artists including Stevie Nicks, Mel
Torme, Anita Baker and the legendary Highwaymen (Willie Nelson, Waylon
Jennings, Kris Kristofferson & Johnny Cash).

"My strength is to come in and channel the person I am around, I am able
to interpret what the artist wants and not get in the way," Resto says.

But with Combo De Momento, Resto has decided to step into the spotlight
performing his own compositions.=20

"Being involved with so many great situations I got pretty musically
fulfilled with everybody I worked with.  But the vision doesn't die, you
