Lady Parts Justice (LPJ) is the first not safe for work, rapid response reproductive justice messaging hub that uses comedy, culture and digital media to help build coalitions on local and national levels who sound alarms about the terrifying erosion of reproductive access, so people will get off their asses and reclaim their rights. They are thrilled to announce the Grown Ass Carnival, an adult carnival fundraiser to benefit Lady Parts Justice, taking place on June 14, 2015 from 3pm – 8pm at The Creek & The Cave inNYC. Admission is $5.

The Grown Ass Carnival will feature celebrity and comedy carnies running booths with salacious twists on traditional carnival games, such as “Dirty Bingo” and “Pin the Tale on the Jackass.” Celebrity guests who will be running carnival games include Ally Sheedy, Ted Alexandro and Frank Conniff, with more celebrity announcements to follow!

Lady Parts Justice's fearless leader, Lizz Winstead, will be barking for games and mingling with the crowd throughout the day as well as hosting the evening storytelling panel and discussion. There will be amazing prizes, sideshows, carnival performers, food, booze, celebrities, comedians, and other incredible features including tarot card/palm readers, advice booths (i.e. Ask a Doctor, Ask a Babeland Sexpert, Ask a Trans person who isn’t Bruce Jenner, etc.), massage chairs, caricaturists and more. #GROWNASSCARNIVAL

The evening panel of sex stories will be held from 8pm – 10pm. Four storyteller guests, including Corinne Fisher of the hysterical “Guys We F****d” podcast, will share their most hilarious/outrageous/embarrassing stories of sexual escapades. After each story, a follow-up discussion by Lizz Winstead will take place. Admission for the evening of sex stories is $15 advance/$20 day of show - you do not want to miss out!

Lady Parts Justice, a project of the Sixteen-Thirty Fund, a 501(c)(4) organization, was conceived by Chief Creative Visionary, Lizz Winstead (co-creator of The Daily Show) and became a reality in 2012. Writer and activist Sarah Sophie Flicker joined the team and Lady Parts Justice hosted Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can Choose, an online telethon highlighting comedians Sarah Silverman, Amy Schumer and Kathy Najimy in the name of Texas abortion rights. The telethon was just a taste of the talent that has committed to this project across all avenues, from Lena Dunham to Chuck D to Jean Grae.
