<b>Matthew Hemerlein</b>. Today, the LA based musician debuts his first track as Lo-Fang. Visit

<b><i>Blue Film</i></b> includes original compositions and will be released Spring/Summer 2013. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="color:black">For Hemerlein, the process of songwriting involves both construction and deconstruction. He explains, “</span>I let the production choices and the emotional
tone of the delivery speak for itself and elevate the music beyond the original pieces. It felt like it brought the music back to its most basic and memorable level but in a much more sophisticated and maximalist arena.”<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span class="apple-style-span"><i>Blue Film
</i></span><span class="apple-style-span">was recorded over the past two years, simultaneously with the upcoming album, crafted in Maryland, London, Nashville and Los Angeles. Hemerlein collaborated with producer
<b>Francois Tetaz</b> (Gotye, Kimbra, Architecture in Helsinki), who he calls a “mirror” that illuminated and reflected his work throughout the process.
</span>Classically trained in several instruments (violin, cello, upright bass, guitar, piano), Hemerlein drew inspiration from a broad range of musical ideals and style from
<b><i>Grease</i></b> and <b>Ginuwine</b> to <b>Bach </b>and <b>The Beatles</b>. <o:p>
