5</b> guitarist <b>James Valentine</b> has announced he will run the <b>2012 Los Angeles Marathon</b> to help benefit
<b>The Pablove Foundation (<a href="http://pablove.org/">http://pablove.org/</a>).
</b> The national organization’s mission is to fund pediatric cancer research and advances in treatment, to educate and empower cancer families and to improve the quality of life for children living with cancer through hospital play, music and arts programs.

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Already an avid jogger, James Valentine was inspired by Maroon 5’s work with the
<b>Teen Impact Program</b> at the <b>Children’s Hospital </b>in <b>Los Angeles</b>, which provides activities and support for young people facing cancer, where Valentine met amazing kids who faced incredible challenges. He was particularly touched by Carlo,
a young guitarist in the Teen Impact Program, with whom he shared a passion for guitar. Tragically, Carlo passed earlier this year but his death impacted Valentine, encouraging his desire to no raise money for cancer research.
