Depeche Mode To Appear @ SXSW Music Festival
For Exclusive Q&A Discussion on March 13th

Discussion To Be Moderated By Jason Bentley-- Music Director of KCRW in Los Angeles

[DM general  press 1 LR](Columbia Records; New York, NY; March 5, 2013) - Depeche Mode have announced today that they will be making their first ever appearance at this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Band members Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy 'Fletch' Fletcher will sit down to talk about their new album, Delta Machine, due out via Columbia Records on March 26th. The band will also discuss the past, present and future of Depeche Mode, as well as their upcoming world tour. This unique look inside the legendary band will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at 5pm at the Austin Convention Center. The discussion will be moderated by KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley, who hosts the LA public radio station's signature program Morning Becomes Eclectic, as well as the dance music show Metropolis on Saturday nights. It is open to all Music and Platinum badges as well as Artist Wristbands


The band's new album, Delta Machine, was recorded over the last year in Santa Barbara, California and New York City and was produced by Ben Hillier and mixed by Flood. Alongside a standard CD format, Depeche Mode will release Delta Machine in an exclusive Deluxe Edition with four additional new tracks and accompanied by a 28 page hardcover book including photos by longtime artistic collaborator Anton Corbijn.

In addition to their upcoming album and this SXSW announcement, Depeche Mode recently confirmed an appearance on CBS Interactive's award-winning webcast concert series, LIVE ON LETTERMAN. The band will kick off the series' 2013 season with a live performance and webcast from the world-famous Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City via CBS.com and VEVO on Monday, March 11th at 8:00pm ET/5:00pm PT.  Depeche Mode will also be announcing details of their North American tour in the coming weeks.
