"Like Justin Timberlake meets Ed Sheeran and Robin Thicke, with a little Bieber sprinkled on top!" - Perez Hilton
"...what he [Bernhoft] did with those few tools was quite extraordinary. Using them, and via a process of instant recording, looping and layering, he was able to create the sound of a full band - including all the instrumental parts plus backing singers on rich harmonies - and it was all just him." - The Guardian

"A truly solo performer - often using loops to build up dense, complex arrangements..." - Clash Magazine
"Bernhoft orchestrates a surprisingly intricate web of sound" - SoundMagOnline.com

Norway's number-one selling artist Bernhoft returns to North America for the first time in over two years, and is thrilled to announce he will be performing new material at select shows in New York City, Toronto, and Los Angeles, in addition to making his SXSW debut! The run of dates start on Saturday, March 9th in New York City where the sophisticated, one-man-band sensation will perform at Joe's Pub. See all tour dates listed below.

The multi-instrumental singer-songwriter first wowed audiences with his ability to loop live on stage. His latest soulful single "C'mon Talk" has accumulated over 5 Million views on You Tube. The "C'mon Talk" video highlights Bernhoft's technique of layering together various parts of the song - first singing the chorus, matched with beat boxing, to then looping in heavy-weighted guitar riffs, all of which are topped off with his powerful back-up and lead vocals. This video sparked the interest of Emmy-Award winning daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres who asked Bernhoft to be a guest on her show.

His incredible live performances have helped him to sell over 250,000 copies of his current album Solidary Breaks world-wide, plus nab the awards for Best Artist and Best Male Artist of the Year at the 2012 Spellemannprisen, which are the equivalent to the GRAMMYs in Norway.

As a childhood performer for the Norwegian Opera and a trained classical artist, Bernhoft's influences and sound stems from listening to Peruvian and Bulgarian musicians growing up. Lately Bernhoft has been into such artists as: Frank Ocean and his brother Lonnie Breaux, The Foreign Exchange, The Roots, Bon Iver, Arctic Monkeys, Feist and the Bees.

Over the past year Bernhoft has been working on new songs and touring the world - selling out 1500-seated venues in other countries like Paris and Germany. "Being alone onstage, the intimacy between me and the audience is so enhanced," Bernhoft points out. "It's like I'm part of the gang, and we're all united, but my music involves a lot of improvisation-it's like I play pop with a jazz or avant-garde attitude toward things."
