“WE BROS”

New single released on September 21st (digital) / November 8th (vinyl) 2011 on

L Y F RECORDINGS

WU LYF will release a new single “We Bros” on September 21st (digital)/ November 8th (vinyl). The single is a reworked, updated version of the track that appears on the band’s debut album Go Tell Fire To The Mountain. Built around the anthemic chorus chants of “We bros you lost man / We bros so long / Put away your guns man / And sing this song”, “We Bros” is the track that WU LYF have been closing their live shows with in front of thousands of people across the US and Europe over the summer

“We Bros” will be available as digital download first, followed by heavyweight 12-inch vinyl in November and will come backed with remixes from S. Maharba and Young Montana?. The vinyl version will feature three tracks on side A and etched artwork on side B.

Tickets for WU LYF’s handful of previous US shows were snapped up instantly, with rammed venues on both coasts unable to meet demand from the fans. Thankfully, the dynamic and enigmatic Manchester, England 4-piece will be returning to North America for their first full tour in November. Following an early digital release in the US Go Tell Fire To The Mountain is now available on CD and vinyl in all good record stores.

“WU LYF have made an album of exhilarating expanse and passion that sounds like indie rock and yet feels way bigger. (8.4)” - Pitchfork (Best New Music)

“Mysterious, ballsy Nick Cave-loving Manchester post-rock crew WU overlap fractured guitars with fervent, tortured vocals on songs with titles like “I Got Dem Wu Wu Busted Teef Spitting It Concrete Like The Golden Sun God.” The results are weirdly mystical-feeling, religious.” – Stereogum

“The most urgent and impassioned young band to emerge in the last few years” – The Fly
