Synth-pop sensation La Roux have made quite a stir stateside with their =
self titled debut. Through all of the critical acclaim, dizzying live =
shows and dance parties these South London kids have caught all the =
right ears. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the International =
Dance Music Awards and La Roux have 5 nominations! Nomination categories =
include Best Underground Dance Track (In for the Kill), Best =

The band is also making waves overseas. They just recently collaborated =
with Heaven 17 for a BBC Radio 6 Music session and they have two Brit =
nominations for British Breakthrough Act and British Single. Directly =
following the Brit Awards on February 16th, La Roux will perform at a =
very special event alongside Kasabian and Calvin Harris (DJ) at the =
annual War Child benefit party at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. All =
profits will go to aid War Child's work with children in war zones =

21-year-old Elly Jackson and co-producer co-songwriter co-hort Ben =
Langmaid, who are La Roux, have made an impressive impact on UK's music =
scene since joining forces two years ago. What began in London's =
