<b>Joseph Mount</b>, Metronomy first scored widespread attention for their eclectic electronica and inventive remixes of artists including
<b>Gorillaz</b>, <b>Charlotte Gainsbourg</b>, <b>Lykke Li</b>, and <b>Franz Ferdinand</b>. 2011’s
<i>THE ENGLISH RIVIERA</i> saw Metronomy put together a milestone of present-day popcraft, a dazzling fusion of sunshine psychedelia, cascading synths, languid funk, and sleek melodies, all in the service of Mount’s nostalgic reveries of his native South-West
England coastline. Highlighted by now-classic singles like “<b>The Look</b>” and “<b>Everything Goes My Way</b>,” the album earned placement on the 2012 Barclaycard Mercury Prize shortlist as well as worldwide sales now in excess of 250,000.</span></p>
