South London’s Fat White Family, fresh from a triumphant SXSW, have announced a special New York edition of their club night, Slide In. Following on from three sold-out shows in New York last weekend; the band will be hosting Slide In at The Acheron, 57 Waterbury St in Brooklyn on Saturday, April 5th. Joining them will be Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl’s band The GOASTT (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger) - with more names expected to be confirmed over the coming days. Lead vocalist Lias and guitarist Saul will be DJ at Night of Joy (667 Lorimer St<http://nightofjoybar.com/>) in Brooklyn on Thursday, April 3rd.

Fat White Family released their rollicking debut album Champagne Holocaust on March 11th via Trashmouth Records.  Formed in the back room of a South London pub, Fat White Family quickly garnered the attention of the British press with their wildly energetic live shows.  The six-piece have been described as “Britain’s most depraved, volatile, and unpredictable band” and “genuinely, thrillingly, disturbing” by the UK music critics and were recently awarded NME’s Radar Award for best new band.
