Iggy Pop, New Order, members of The National, Patti Smith and more! Tibet House US Benefit Concert * Tuesday March 11th @ Carnegie Hall
Chaired by Chuck Close, Uma Thurman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard and Arden Wohl, the 24th Annual Tibet House Benefit Concert promises to be an amazing evening featuring performances from Iggy Pop, New Order, Philip Glass, The National’s Matt Berninger, Aaron Dessner & Bryce Dessner, Robert Randolph, Patti Smith and her Band, brilliant American composerNico Muhly, Tibetan folk singer Techung and more. Curated by artistic director Philip Glass, the concert, a staple of NYC’s music and cultural calendar, is known for the unexpected and unforgettable musical collaborations – Iggy Pop & New Order will be just one of the many collaborations of the evening. It all benefits the work of Tibet House US, a non-profit educational institution and cultural center that works to preserve the Tibetan civilization.
