[IMGL0780.jpg]English duo Drenge are making their U.S. debut on Friday at Mercury Lounge (Late Show) and Saturday at Glasslands in Brooklyn.   Brothers Eoin and Rory Loveless have become one of the UK’s most buzzed about new acts following a summer of impressive festival appearances, including Bestival, Glastonbury, and Reading & Leeds, support slots at Hyde Park with The Rolling Stones and at iTunes Festival with Arctic Monkeys, and a coveted performance on veritable BBC showLater….with Jools Holland.  Even though the band is barely in their 20s, they have accumulated enough confidence, vim and vigour in their music to sweep any discerning listener off their feet. CONDOLA & THE STOOP KIDS * MONDAY, JANUARY 20th @ MERCURY LOUNGE – 7:30PM

[CRashad’s avatar]Condola & The Stoop Kids, the alternative rock band that was formed last November by two-time TONY nominee Condola Rashad, will perform at Mercury Lounge on January 20th. The band will be celebrating the release of their debut album The Letter 9 (out 1/21). With the help of producer MachoPsycho and musical/stylistic influences from No Doubt, India Arie, and Lauryn Hill, Condola realized her vision for the band and began to recruit members that would help this vision come alive. The group features Scott Ferreira on guitar, Peter Rodriguez on bass, Matt Riggs on keys, Jake Boulay on drums andKristina Nicole Miller, Vanjah Boikai and Injoy Fountain as the Stoop Kids.
