Anna Calvi’s “Suddenly,” the intense, dramatic opener from her acclaimed second album, One Breath, will be released as a single on December 23rd. The track will be available on 7” (RUG560) and as a digital bundle (RUG560D) b/w a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Fire’ Pre-order the 7”, HERE<http://www.dominorecordco.com/uk/singles/05-11-13/suddenly>.

The stunning accompanying video was directed by long-term creative collaborator, Emma Nathan, who said the following:

‘I've been fortunate enough to collaborate with Anna visually throughout both of her albums and through this a visual language has developed that accompanies her musical aesthetic. The song connected with me in a filmic way, it spoke of black and white, late 40's, classic, emotional, Billy Wilder and Douglas Sirk. These were the images I got when listening to ‘Suddenly’, those of deeply withheld emotion and extreme release.’
