[6751-_24_2047.jpg]The So So Glos will bring their raucous, sweaty punk show to MTV’s Artist to Watch Live on Wednesday, May 22 at The Studio at Webster Hall. For those of you not in New York, MTV Hive will livestream the concert at www.mtvhive.com<http://www.mtvhive.com/> at9:30 PM on the 22nd. If you’re in New York, you’re in luck – the show is free! The band will also be playing this Sunday,May 26 at The Knitting Factory. The So So Glos released their latest album Blowout this April on the band’s own Shea Stadium Records. In their 4-star review, Rolling Stone calls Blowout “…a gloriously high-speed manifesto…The songs on Blowout have a classicist confidence, reaching all the way back to the Clash and the Kinks. But it's the Glos' boyish exuberance that drives every second of the album home.” Pitchfork says Blowout is “full of great hooks, anthemic energy and personality to spare. The Glos are able to etch out their own space thanks to these adventurous songs…The So the So Glos know where they came from, but have the confidence to continue to do things their own way…Loud, to the point, and charming as all hell.” The foursome also recently made their network television debut on the Late Show With David Letterman.
