MILOW *Thursday March 7th @ Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 – 7pm
[milow-beach-facing-lr.JPG]Belgian singer-songwriter Milow is one of Europe’s most exciting break-out artists over the past five years. Milow has enjoyed multiple #1s with gold and platinum status in Europe and has racked up a slew of music awards and honors. Among these honors was his recent performance at the prestigious 19th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert last December. PRESS HERE<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtDShF1sMFc> to watch Milow’s performance of “You Don’t Know.” Milow will be hitting the road with Kat Edmonson in March and recently joined the ranks of Dave Matthews, My Morning Jacket, Train, Amos Lee, Sharon von Etten and more on The Music Is You: A Tribute To John Denver set for release April 2, 2013 on ATO Records. PRESS HERE<http://soundcloud.com/ato_records/annies-song-by-brett-dennen> to watch the video of Milow and Brett Dennen’s rendition of one of Denver’s all-time greats, “Annie’s Song.” (chloe at pressherepublicity.com<mailto:chloe at pressherepublicity.com> / carla at pressherepublicity.com<mailto:carla at pressherepublicity.com>)

“…earworm hooks, quick-lined vocals, and a beachy feel-good vibe…he’s set to break big in America.” – Paste

“…catchy melodies, poppy arrangements, and a friendly, slightly strained voice. Milow has a strong pop sensibility despite his music’s poppiness, Milow has a self-conscious awareness of his career and music that remains firmly grounded in his own artistic integrity. He jokes about American superstardom, but it could very well be the future for Milow.” –Consequence of Sound

“Milow has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting artists over the past few years. This is a solid effort from Milow who presents his talent as a great balladeer with a soft/rock edge.” – Zink

TADDY PORTER *Friday March 8th @ Piano’s - midnight
[TaddyPorter-AnnaWebber-1.jpg]Oklahoma rock outfit Taddy Porter will perform @ Piano’s on the Lower East Side on Friday March 8 at midnight. The band is fresh of the release of their new album Stay Golden, which dropped on February 26. PRESS HERE<http://vevo.ly/Vcw9j6> to check out the video for single “Fever,” praised in Billboard for its “soul revivalism.” Co-produced by Dave Cobb (Chris Cornell, Shooter Jennings) and Mark Neill(The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach), Stay Golden finds Taddy Porter re-energized and cracking open the heart of the band like never before, flooding these 11 lo-fi songs with elements of raw rock, warm Motown soul, Southern blues and psychedelic pop to create their most expansive sound to date. Filter called the album“imaginative…everything Taddy Porter touches turns to gold…” and Music Connection hailed frontman Andy Brewer’s vocal style as “every bit as unique as luminaries like Johnny Rivers and Alex Chilton.” (carla at pressherepublicity.com<mailto:carla at pressherepublicity.com>)

“[‘Fever’ is] in tune with the soul revivalism of the Heavy or Fitz and the Tantrums, with its primal guitar line leading and organ echoing in the background…[it] unfurls like a Kings of Leon track with a little more soul, especially when frontman Andy Brewer belts out its title in the chorus.” -Billboard

“The songs are tight, tough and informed by the best aspects of garage rockers that yearn for the arena. Echoes of the Yardbirds, old Deep Purple, the Kinks and even Motown keep the retro fires burning. Fun and frisky…the quartet writes tough hook driven burners…” American Songwriter

“…British Invasion meets Motown soul, with a healthy dose of Southern blues thrown in for good measure. [Stay Golden] does something not many albums released these days can do: deserve repeated listenings. It's a true testament to the songwriting, performances and production skills and a welcome throwback to the sound of the '60s.” - Guitar World
