Hello NYC!

Let us know if you'd like to grab tickets to any of these shows!

THE KNOCKS * Thursday March 1st @ Santos Party House - Doors @ 8pm, The Knocks @ 11:30pm
NYC producers-turned-dance/DJ duo The Knocks are kicking off the Neon Gold Tour during POPSHOP014 at Santos on March 1st, along with special guest Chiddy Bang and fellow Neon Gold Tour artists St. Lucia and Savoir Adore. The Knocks' Magic EP, out now on A&M/Octone, debuted in the Top 10 on the iTunes Dance Chart in the company of Skrillex, Deadmau5, Kaskade and David Guetta. With Nylon calling Magic "a total adrenaline rush" and Filter saying the songs are "ultimate dance jams," Beatport declared that The Knocks are "at that crest of stardom." With a nu-disco vibe, club-friendly beats, Motown-tinged vocals, glorious choruses, The Knocks have managed to make dance music soulful. Initially making a name for themselves with their versatile production and remix work for the likes of Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, Foster The People, Chiddy Bang and Katy Perry, the NME was soon singing The Knocks' praises for their own songs, saying that they have "stepped out from behind the desk to rebirth the Superstar DJ." SYDNEY WAYSER * Friday, March 2nd @ The Living Room
Sydney Wayser will be playing a special New York show prior to her string of dates at SXSW. Sydney is songwriter by way of Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Paris who weaves magical stories and songs into her forthcoming album, Bell Choir Coast, out digitally on March 27th with a physical release in May. Already grabbing the ears of Glamour,<http://www.glamour.com/entertainment/blogs/obsessed/2012/02/amazing-new-make-out-music-syd.html> Bullett<http://www.bullettmedia.com/article/musician-sydney-wayser-chats-traveling-and-childrens-toys/> and MTV Hive<http://read.mtvhive.com/2012/01/09/sydney-wayser-dirty-work-song-premiere/>, Sydney's new album is racking up an impressive list of early fans. The road that brought Wayser to Bell Choir Coast started two years ago; Wayser found herself in a gorgeous studio with a talented producer, in the midst of a New York winter that made the Los Angeles-bred Wayser completely miserable. With the problem of the New York winter proving unavoidable, Wayser decided that if she couldn't go elsewhere, she'd bring other lands to her. Drawing on all of her influences, from summers the French-American Wayser spent in France to painters and other artists, Wayser began to give her new territory shape and shade. "Bell Choir Coast is about a fictional land that I made up, because I couldn't leave New York and I had to make my record. So I made up a new world in my head that was everything I wanted." And what a beautiful world it is. (ashley at pressherepublicity.com<mailto:ashley at pressherepublicity.com>)
