PJ Morton is set to premiere the new video for his latest single "Lover" featuring Lil Wayne during an exclusive live performance at New York City's Canal Room on August 8th at 8:30pm ET.  The video will then premiere worldwide on Complex.com the following day, August 9th. "Lover" will be released exclusively on iTunes August 7th and is the lead single from PJ's forthcoming debut full-length album. An earlier version of the song was included on PJ's debut free EP Following My First Mind, an acclaimed collection of soulful pop tracks released earlier this year via Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment. The EP, which was praised by the likes of Vibe, Interview, Essence, and YRB, featured guest spots from Adam Levine, Lil Wayne and Jazmine Sullivan. PJ's upcoming performance at the Canal Room is his first show since he wrapped his successful headlining Spring tour in early May, which included a stop at NBC Studios to sit in with The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

A New Orleans native, PJ is Maroon 5's current keyboardist and a Grammy-Award winning producer and writer who has worked with noteworthy artists such as India Arie, Jermaine Dupri, LL Cool J, Jagged Edge, Monica, Ruben Studdard, Musiq Soulchild, Trin-i-tee 5:7 and Amber Bullock. After an audition landed him a keyboardist/vocalist spot in Maroon 5, it was his solo work that garnered him the support of Young Money Entertainment's President, Mack Maine. Maine immediately recognized Morton's talent, along with Cash Money Record's Co-CEOs Ronald "Slim" Williams and Bryan "Birdman" Williams, and Young Money Entertainment's captain Lil Wayne.  Maine signed PJ to his production company, Soothe Your Soul Entertainment and Young Money Entertainment, making PJ the newest addition to the storied Young Money roster.
