Who:            Falu is setting aside the electric guitar, keyboards and drums for a rare, stripped down performance featuring classical and traditional Indian music at Rockwood Music Hall on June 3rd, 2011. What:                       Embracing her roots and musical culture, passed on to her by her mentor Ustad Sultan Khan and representative of the 10th generation of musical legacy, Falu will be performing an exciting acoustic set this one night only, drawing from some of the richest classical, semi-classical and folk traditions of India.

Falu's list of performances includes numerous solo concerts at classical music venues such as Carnegie Hall (Zankel) and Lincoln Center, as well as concerts with her band at venues such as the Highline Ballroom and Bowery Ballroom.  Her live performances have been featured nationally on FOX TV and internationally on National Geographic TV, while her voice has been captured in multiple films including Angelina Jolie's directorial debut, A Place in Time.  One of Falu's most stunning performances was at the Time 100 Gala where she performed a duet with Slumdog Millionaire composer A.R. Rahman in front of the one hundred selections of Time Magazine's most influential people in the world of 2008, which included First Lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.
