CHEESEBURGER Kick Off Beekman Beer Garden's "Beach Party" Series This Sunday, July 10 @ 3pm

Summer in New York City is sweltering so lather yourself in sun screen this Sunday (July 10) and head down to Beekman Beer Garden's 200 ton sand beach to cool off and catch Brooklyn party rockers Cheeseburger play what's sure to be a riotous set. Known in part for their rowdy rock and wild stage antics (think costumes and beer fights) the band will be kicking off this exciting new six week "Beach Party" at the South Street Seaport's newest beer garden. With the Brooklyn Bridge and East River as their backdrop, Cheeseburger will blaze through a set of tunes off of their recently released Another Big Night Down The Drain which hit in May via Adult Swim's Williams Street Records.

Music from Another Big Night Down the Drain has been featured throughout this season of Superjail!, the Adult Swim cult classic show co created by Cheeseburger bassist Christy Karacas (along with Stephen Warbrick who created Beavis and Butthead  & Daria). The show's much loved theme song was also provided by Cheeseburger.  The show's second season following the chaotic characters and antics from the world's most violent prison kicked off this past April and has already been a runaway success with both fans (the show was ranked #1 in its time period on basic cable among adults 18-24 the third week of May)and media alike with Wired Magazine exclaiming that "Maximum mayhem rules Superjail!'s second season."

SOUNDGARDEN * Prudential Center on Friday, July 8 & Jones Beach on Saturday, July 9
Soundgarden fans, rejoice! The Grunge Gods will be making their way through the New York area this weekend hitting the Prudential Center in Newark on Friday, July 8 and Jones Beach in Wantagh on Saturday, July 9 with Coheed and Cambria. This is their first tour in over a decade and they are bringing the noise their fans know and love. The band has also recently confirmed that they are in the studio in Seattle, and are writing and recording what will be the first new Soundgarden album in over 15 years. The seventeen shows will finish up with a homecoming concert in Seattle at The Gorge on July 30th joined by very special guests Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon and Meat Puppets.
