Good afternoon!
Press Here has some great acts coming through NYC this week so mark your calendars and let us know if you'd like to check them out!

THE ETTES * August 2 @ Mercury Lounge

                       August 3 @ Knitting Factory

Rock trio The Ettes return to NYC for two album release shows this week. Kicking off their summer tour on August 2 at Mercury Lounge and August 3 at Knitting Factory, the band will be infusing the sultry summer nights with their one-of-a-kind rock 'n' roll mystique. With their signature blend of retro garage punk, 60s girl group influences and fuzzy blues-rock, the band will play songs from their fourth studio album Wicked Will, out August 2 via Krian Music Group/Fond Object. Stream the album in full over at AOL Music here<hhttp://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds/spinner#/13>. Oozing with a sassy defiance, Wicked Will - produced by Liam Watson (The Kills, The White Stripes) - is The Ettes' most impressive and varied album to date. ALISON KRAUSS & UNION STATION * August 2 @ The Beacon Theater - 8pm
World renowned bluegrass superstars Alison Krauss & Union Station will make a rare appearance in New York City next week! The Nashville 5-piece will be at the Beacon Theatre on Tuesday August 2nd. As part of the coast-to-coast tour in support of "Paper Airplane" - their #1 Country/ #1 Bluegrass/ #3 Billboard album - this show will be the first Union Station performance in NYC in several years! Support comes from very special guest Dawes. The Boston Globe recently said of their live performance "...it wasn't simply a matter of Krauss and Union Station showcasing their individual strengths. As befits their long history together, they seemed to sing and play as one voice... Tyminski and Douglas may have begun 'The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn' by themselves, but when the band joined midway through, the song became full-blooded, throbbing bluegrass." Alison Krauss & Union Station will also be performing on ABC's The View on Friday August 5th. Tune in at 11am to watch! KICKING DAISIES * August 5 @ Hard Rock Café - 7:30pm
Fresh off the heels of the release of their Keeping Secrets EP last week via Walmart, Kicking Daisies will be performing in NYC on Friday, August 5th at the Hard Rock Café as part of Radio Disney's 15th Birthday Jam along with Cody Simpson. Having opened for the likes of Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis and Allstar Weekend, they have played for varied audiences on diverse platforms and rocked each and every stage. Look out for additional tour dates in the coming weeks! Their new Keeping Secrets EP is full of fresh, summer ready pop gems; from the soaring chorus of first single, "Breathing" to the synth-heavy sing-along, "Dangerous", their songs put a smile on your face and dare you not to dance. Be sure to mark your calendar to catch the gang performing their song "Keeping Secrets" on the Disney Channel's So Random! on August 28th at 7:30 ET/PT.
