March 25, 2015…(New York, NY):  The David Lynch Foundation’s performance-based initiative, DLF Live, in conjunction with acclaimed producer Hal Willner, is proud to announce the addition of Nick Cave, Chris Parnell, Eric Mingus, and Terry Adams (NRBQ) to their one-night only, all-star event entitled “A Celebration Of The 60th Anniversary of Allen Ginsberg’s HOWL with Music, Words, and Funny People,” which will take place at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on April 7th, 2015.

“A 60th Anniversary Celebration of Allen Ginsburg’s Howl” follows DLF Live’s first original production of 2015, entitled “The Music of David Lynch,” and featuring artists such as Karen O, Moby, Duran Duran, Sky Ferreira, The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd, and more interpreting music and songs from throughout Lynch’s storied career.  The show sold out immediately upon going on sale in mid-February.

Since its launch ten years ago, the David Lynch Foundation has already provided scholarships to teach Transcendental Meditation to more than 300,000 at-risk youth in underserved schools, veterans with post-traumatic stress (PTS), women who are survivors of domestic violence, and homeless and incarcerated individuals.  DLF Live’s mission is to create incredible, one-night-only experiences with some of the biggest, most lauded creatives of our time, to help raise money to bring evidence-based, stress-reducing meditation to these one million at-risk adults and youth across the globe.

Transcendental Meditation was first brought to the public eye in 1968 when the Beatles, Donovan, the Beach Boys and others famously traveled to India to study with TM founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Since then, the benefits of the technique for reducing stress and promoting creativity and health have been verified by more than 340 scientific studies, which have been conducted at Harvard, Stanford, UCLA and other top medical schools, and published in over 100 peer-reviewed journals (see www.DoctorsonTM.org<http://www.DoctorsonTM.org>).

Since its formation in late 2013, DLF Live has been instrumental in utilizing the power of music to bring awareness and resources via TM to at-risk populations.  From shows featuring the likes of Ringo Starr, Dixie Chicks, Jack White, Jakob Dylan, Sky Ferreira, The Head and the Heart, Rick Rubin, Damien Rice, Ben Folds, Peter Frampton, and so many more, DLF LIVE’s events bring the best in talent together with the highest in consciousness to create something very life-changing indeed.
