Fusing inspiration from the Rat Pack, 1990s Native Tongues posse, and just a hint of the Godfather of Soul, Maceo Paisley has arrived to elevate the “brainy cool” barometer. Today the LA-based rapper, singer, self-taught dancer, multi-instrumentalist and self-proclaimed “artepreneur” releases the music video for the infectious song “Talking, Touching” via Black Book. Recently, Maceo garnered a viral buzz by producing lo-fi dance “cover” videos on YouTube.  This led to a meeting with LA-based production team Riot City, the architects behind artists CONWAY and ARO. A creative partnership was formed and they immediately hit the studio, merging Maceo’s off-the-wall antics and his quick-witted storytelling with a barrage of day-glo beats and twisted soundscapes.
