DRENGE * Saturday, January 25th @ The Satellite

Brothers Eoin and Rory Loveless have become one of the UK’s most buzzed about new acts following a summer of impressive festival appearances, including Bestival, Glastonbury, and Reading & Leeds, support slots at Hyde Park with The Rolling Stones and at iTunes Festival with Arctic Monkeys, and a coveted performance on veritable BBC show Later….with Jools Holland.  Even though the band is barely in their 20s, they have accumulated enough confidence, vim and vigour in their music to sweep any discerning listener off their feet. Hailing from the UK, and playing live since age 14, Laurel was able to develop into a strong singer/songwriter/producer before landing a deal with Turn First Records (Iggy Azalea, Dan Croll) in the UK. Laurel caused quite a stir after posting her arresting tack, “Blue  Blood,” which sent blogs into a frenzy, hit no. 3 on Hype Machine and has amassed over 120,000 soundcloud plays. With cinematic songs hinged on seductive, sultry vocals, Laurel’s haunting blend of piano, beats and strings are enchanting. LOLAWOLF * Thursday, January 30 @ The Echo

[LWpress_text]NYC’s Lolawolf - fronted by Zoe Kravitz and featuring James Levy, Raviv Ullman and Jimmy Giannopoulos of Reputante – will be making their Los Angeles debut at The Echo on January 30th. The band will be performing songs off of their forthcoming debut EP, which is set for release on February 4th via Innit Recordings.
