Lou will be kicking off her first North American tour on Friday, October 11th in Los Angeles at the El Rey. Lou has received high praise for her songwriting and musicianship on Places from esteemed media, including Vanity Fair, Elle, Vogue and SPIN. Born to international icon Jane Birkin and Jacques Doillon, and with Serge Gainsbourg as her step-father, Lou was immersed in a world of creativity. She began acting in films at the age of six and started modeling at eighteen. Keeping music as a hobby, Doillon taught herself how to play guitar at age 24 and continued to write songs, many in English, what she considers her "private language." Lou has been an international sensation after the release of Places in the UK and Europe in September of 2012. The collection resulted in Lou winning Female Artist of the Year at the French Victoires de la Musique earlier this year. The awards are the equivalent to a US Grammy.
