Twilight Concert Series Partners with Myspace to Bring Southern Calfornia's Premiere Outdoor Summer Festival to People Everywhere
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Mr. Little Jeans, Terraplane Sun, The Record Company, Gardens & Villa, and The Delirians Added To Lineup

Los Angeles, July 1, 2013 - Today the Santa Monica Pier is pleased to announce that the newly-launched Myspace will be the presenting partner of Southern California's quintessential summer series, the Twilight Concert Series. Kicking off July 11, Myspace gives even more fans access to the performances at Santa Monica's famed pier. Myspace will keep concertgoers engaged whether they're in Santa Monica or on their computers by livestreaming select concerts online, so audiences at home can also connect to summer's best music. Much like the new and improved Santa Monica Pier, which features new restaurants, year-round programming, gourmet food carts, shops, and more, Myspace is also entering a new era. Having officially launched on June 12, the new Myspace offers a completely redesigned website and mobile app, built from the ground up to serve the needs of artists, their creative collaborators, and their fans. Given the new platform's focus on music and discovery, Myspace and the Santa Monica Pier share a passion for creating memorable music experiences that facilitate more meaningful artist-fan connections. Together, they'll do just that this summer with the Santa Monica Pier's 29th Annual Twilight Concert Series, presented by Myspace.

Reflecting Myspace's focus on promoting emerging and established artists, the concert series includes an eclectic array of artists ranging from alternative rock band Surfer Blood and emerging stars Hanni El Khatib and Nick Waterhouse to Reggae's reigning godfather, Jimmy Cliff.

"Myspace and the Santa Monica Pier are two marquee platforms for discovery and connecting people together which makes for a natural partnership of online and offline experiences," Craig Hoffman, director of partnerships & development, SM Pier.
