SAMANTHA RONSON and The Undertakers **** TONIGHT July 13 @ House of Blues Parish Room
Multitalented DJ and singer/songwriter Samantha Ronson is performing tonight at the House of Blues Parish Room (off of The Foundation Room) on Sunset. Samantha's musical versatility and artistic depth are showcased in her debut album, Chasing the Reds, via her own label, Broken Toys Records, which she will perform songs from at this show. Nearly a decade in the making, Chasing the Reds is an account of heartbreak, compiled journal entries, compelling headlines, and every interaction in between. From the edgy, rock-infused title track, to the achingly sad "Love Song", to the windows-down sing-along anthems "Sometimes When You Win You Lose", "Half Awake" and "Promise", this album, produced by Samantha and Jimmy Messer (Kelly Clarkson, Kanye West, Neon Trees), is a true testament to Ronson's songwriting prowess and ability to capture true, relatable emotions. Ronson enlisted the contribution of a few friends in the recording of this album including Slash on "Love Song", Wale on "Summer of Sam", Alex Greenwald on "Captain Jack" and brother Mark Ronson to co-produce the ratatat party jam "Skyscrapers". FOXES **** Monday, July 16th @ Bardot * Tuesday, July 17th @ Bootleg
British songstress Foxes a.k.a. Louisa Rose Allen will perform her first LA shows ever on July 16 at Bardot and July 17 at Bootleg in support of her newly released Warrior EP (Neon Gold). Warrior EP is the follow up to "Youth" and its mournful b-side "Home" which debuted earlier this year to critical acclaim. Both tracks garnered over 2 million combined Soundcloud and YouTube plays and were featured syncs on CW's Gossip Girl. Foxes hypnotic beats, industrial percussion and sweeping, anthemic vocals set her apart as a powerful new female voice. Foxes also released a gorgeous video for "White Coats<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7tfuUzK5W4&feature=youtu.be>" that NylonMagazine.com<http://NylonMagazine.com/> called "so catchy I embarrassingly started singing along without knowing the words." PRAISE FOR FOXES
"A voice that is sweet enough to charm but fiery enough to scorch the competition, Warrior captivates, stuns and satisfies." -CMJ.com
"The 22-year-old is a 90's influenced songstress whose dark, elegant, personal music bears comparison to Mazzy Star, Robyn, and Purity Ring."- InterviewMagazine.com<http://Magazine.com/>
"Warrior is a solid, rich debut, but more importantly, it is a debut that promises there is more to come."- Paste Magazine.com<http://Magazine.com/>

SOULSAVERS WITH DAVE GAHAN **** Saturday, July 21 @ Capitol Studios (EXCLUSIVE ONE NIGHT ONLY PERFORMANCE)
Soulsavers will be performing with Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan at Capitol Studios in Hollywood on Saturday, July 21st. This is the only Soulsavers performance in the U.S. with Gahan, who contributed lyrics and vocals to the most recent Soulsavers release, The Light the Dead See. The album, out now via Mute, has been heralded by critics as "beautiful" (CNN), "wonderfully cinematic" (Consequence of Sound), and a "perfect pairing" (NME). The seeds of The Light The Dead See were sewn when Soulsavers were invited to support Depeche Mode on the European leg of the band's vast 2010 Tour of the Universe. With Gahan penning lyrics for the music and recording his own vocals and Soulsavers' Rich Machin building up the results into fully-formed and arranged epics, the project was a case of "chemistry working." Extremely limited guest list is available for this very special performance. Please inquire if interested.
