Christian Joy's Tokyo costume exhibit hits NYC! Music by Bubbles/DJ Nick Zinner

New York…Christian Joy is showcasing her progressive fashion designs in her upcoming exhibit “Do Androids Dream of Electric Shrimp?” opening November 2 at Picture Farm Gallery in New York. The costumes on exhibit were used in musical performances, theaters, dance performances, photo shoots, music videos and are a staple of Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O.
An overwhelming presence radiates from her pieces which speak a symbolic and expressive language in graphic design and printmaking. Using found articles, and occasionally eschewing thread and print for glue and marker pens, Joy has influenced contemporary fashion with her punk and DIY stylings.
