Architectural Icon RON ARAD produces video with Cat's Eyes~!

Alternative pop-duo Cat's Eyes lucked out when they were chosen by famed architectural artist Ron Arad to collaborate with him on his new installation "Roundhouse." Arad has spent a career creating studio pieces and buildings that are innovative and uncompromised, and the Arad/Cat's Eyes collaboration is a beautiful video created for the band's song "Best Person I Know." Working out of his studio - Chalk Farm in London, Arad combines playful ideas and advanced technology to produce iconic design of all shapes and sizes, from curved bookshelves to curved opera houses, from iconic armchairs made from classic car seats to digital interactive art.
Cat's Eyes are a duo formed by Rachel Zeffira, a renowned Canadian opera soprano and classical multi-instrumentalist based in London, and Faris Badwan, the singer from British psychedelic-rockers The Horrors. To create the effects they used a 360degree projector, a beaded curtain (part of Arad's installation piece "The Curtain Call) and the band's unique album visuals to create the stunning music video.

Among the most influential designers of our time, Ron Arad stands out for his daredevil curiosity about technology and materials and for the versatile nature of his work. Trained at the Jerusalem Academy of Art and at London's Architectural Association, Arad has produced an outstanding array of innovative objects over the past twenty-five years, from almost unlimited series of objects to carbon fiber armchairs and polyurethane bottle racks. Afraid of "boredom, fundamentalists and philistines," Arad likes to play with forms, functions and materials in a process of intensive development and redevelopment that can only end when a truly innovative idea finds its perfect form.
