TOTEMO, talented new female musician hailing from Tel Aviv, Israel, has premiered her forthcoming, debut EP’s titled track today on Pigeons & Planes. TOTEMO loves to channel Massive Attack’s dark and consuming electronic type production with a mesh of trip hop elements like beats created by Nightmares on Wax. Some of the EP's tracks were produced by labelmate Roei Avital of Garden City Movement (GCM), which GCM has been praised by Pitchfork, The FADER, Stereogum and more.
TOTEMO expressed her inspiration for Heavy As My Dreams as, “I wake up in a room. The sun is shining, but it's raining outside. There's a record playing in the background, I can't quite put my finger on it – a subtle voice attracts me. It sounds like something that has frozen in 95' and is now melting into life and into my ears. This Trip-Pop dream is heavy, so why do I feel so light?”
