Tel-Aviv's electronic trio Garden City Movement<https://www.facebook.com/GardenCityMovement> (GCM) are thrilled to announced they will be releasing their newest project - Bengali Cinema EP on June 23rd via BLDG5. Garden City Movement first made waves on the music scene last Fall with the release of their debut EP - Entertainment. The EP garnered early press champions like Pitchfork who claims their signature sound stems from “hushed, intertwined vocals." The FADER described their first single “'Move On” as "gorgeous, without peer. " The 405 called track “Casa Mila" a “hazy, dreamy, chopped-up adventure" and Clash declared the Entertainment EP was "laden with pop potential."

On Bengali Cinema, Garden City Movement picks up where the Entertainment EP leaves off - effortlessly creating a soothing blend of synth-pop that draws from their diverse cultural worlds. The four-track EP (track listing below) explores looping samples and layering their ghostly vocals with synth, classical piano chords and acoustic guitar riffs. Like their previous work, romantic lyrics and hooks swirl on tracks like "LIR" and "Love + Loss." The new project will be supported with an exclusive remix created by Tricky (out later on this month), whose connection with the band has developed with GCM producing a track for his next album.
