Los Angeles, CA- March25th, 2014 - Modern alternative soul troubadour and critical sensation Mayer Hawthorne has joined forces with longtime friend and collaborator 14KT for Jaded Inc. The duo will release their debut album, The Big Knock, via Casablanca Records/Republic Records on June 17, 2014. Friends since high school, these two post-futuristic creators grew up together in Michigan. Born out of their mutual adoration for the Post-Punk and New Wave movements of the early 1980's, and an obsession with Ghettotech and Booty music that penetrated the airwaves and rave scene in Detroit in the 90's, Mayer and KT have created a brand new sound they call "Beat Wave."

"It's a modern amalgamation of influences including Ultravox, J Dilla & DJ Assault," says KT.

Kendall Tucker, aka 14KT, has released five solo albums and has produced music for Aloe Blacc, Bun B, Danny Brown, Elzhi, Jay Electronica, as well as Mayer and others. Though the pair maintain a long history, this marks their first album together as Jaded Inc.

"This album is completely different from what I've done in the past- it's all synths and no live instruments," says Mayer Hawthorne.
