Catch Private Live Performances at The Log Cabin Only on Myspace

Today Myspace unveils the first episode in a series of exclusive live performances featuring New York-based duo MS MR<https://new.myspace.com/msmrofficial>. Each video will feature exclusive, intimate and beautifully shot live performances taped at The Log Cabin<https://new.myspace.com/thelogcabinnyc> at the Manhattan Center. The episodes will be broadcast in three parts over the course of one week, each part is a mix of candid studio conversation, b-roll and includes a song performance. MS MR treats Myspace users to the singles "Hurricane," "Dark Doo Wop" and the duo's first exclusive live performance of "Salty Sweet" captured in a recording studio. The mysterious New York City-based musical duo of Lizzy Plapinger and Max Hershenow emerged to make their imprint on 2012 with "Hurricane," an introspective alt-pop single. Awarded "Best New Track" on Pitchfork, the duo's single quickly rose to number one on Hype Machine. "We're interested in exploring the nature of mixed media and collage," says Lizzy, "and how music transcends all these various platforms."
MS MR's songs began popping up everywhere, including "Bones" and the trailer for Game of Thrones. "Prepare to be blown away," predicted The Guardian, while KCRW praised the pair's "brilliantly produced cinematic pop." The band will release their debut studio album Secondhand Rapture on May 14th on Columbia Records.

Hosted by The Log Cabin at Manhattan Center, the videos were produced by Myspace and shot with multiple cameras in HD by The Bindery<http://binderynyc.com/>. Myspace found the studio charming in all its authenticity: a sonic oasis located in Manhattan (also home to the historic opera house The Hammerstein Ballroom). Crafted from wood and stone, the artists who have recorded there (Duran Duran, Missy Elliot, and Jay Z among others) find the décor cozy, reminiscent of a rustic cabin in the woods, hence the name "Log Cabin." Last year, the modern studio upgraded its sound system to keep in tune with their vintage theme.
