San Francisco's colossal sounding trio Geographer<http://www.geographermusic.com> has released a staggering live version of their new song "Kaleidoscope<http://www.geographermusic.com>."  The live version of "Kaleidoscope," which was recorded at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO from the band's opening performance while on tour with Ladytron this past Fall, is now streaming at www.geographermusic.com<http://www.geographermusic.com> and is available for a limited time as a free download.  An actual studio version of "Kaleidoscope" will be available on the band's upcoming debut album MYTH, which will drop February 28th on Modern Art Records<http://www.modernartrecords.com>/Warner Music's Independent Label Group.

The new track is introduced to fans along with an interactive photo kaleidoscope application.  The kaleidoscope application will utilize fans mobile photo uploads through Instagram for iPhone and Flickr for Android that will transform any photo into a kaleidoscope viewing if hashtagged #Geographer.  Once the photo is hashtagged, it will automatically appear in the band's kaleidoscope application online via www.geographermusic.com<http://www.geographermusic.com>, and will be featured in a thumbnail slide show with other fan photos.  Any fan can arrive at the band's website and immediately find their photo by entering their Instagram or Flickr username in the search field.  Ultimately, the band will pick 16 of their favorite photos to be featured on an exclusive, limited edition poster.  The exclusive poster will be available for purchase around the release date of Geographer's new record.

On the phenomenal live version of "Kaleidoscope" you can hear lead singer, guitarist and synth maestro Mike Deni's haunting opening coos recorded and looped in real time on stage.  Mike's complex polyrhythms of snyth melodies and mind-altering vocals cascade over cellist Nathan Blaz's poignant chords and drummer Brian Ostreicher's lush, dramatic beats.  With all tracks on MYTH, including "Kaleidoscope," Geographer has expanded far beyond their San Francisco roots to create a remarkable indie rock album that will appeal to many generations.
